A dating app that leads with emotional wellness — attachment-style learning and daily check-ins paired with intentional matching. Built and shipped across two years, live on iOS & Google Play.

Most dating apps optimise for endless swiping. Walnut was built to optimise for healthy, lasting relationships.
Walnut's premise runs against the swipe-economy norm: real connection starts with emotional self-awareness. That meant building two products in one — a wellness companion and a dating platform — that reinforce each other rather than compete for attention.
Over two years I helped take that vision to a polished, production app: attachment-style learning, daily emotional check-ins, intentional matching for partners and friends, and rich value-led profiles — all running live for real users on iOS and Google Play.
Shaped an experience where emotional-wellness tools and dating live side by side — a journey of daily tasks, learning modules, and attachment-style insight that feeds directly into how people connect.
Built and refined the core surfaces in Flutter over two years — onboarding, check-ins, the Learn modules, Connect matching, and profiles — on a Firebase backend, with users and content administered through a companion Flutter web dashboard, release after release.
Shipped and maintained the app on iOS and Google Play, growing toward 10K downloads, with ongoing feature work and stability improvements for a live user base.
